Altium 365 applications: enhance security and efficiency in your projects.
Altium 365 is a platform that revolutionizes the way design teams collaborate on electronics. With continuous updates, Altium 365 introduces new tools that not only enhance data security but also integrate with popular project management systems and component information providers. Below are selected applications available on the platform.
Organizational Security Package (OSP)
Provides advanced access control and compliance tools that protect and regulate the flow of information to and from the Altium 365 platform. The features of this package include:
- The ability to authenticate users using an existing Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) infrastructure, as well as control network access through an allowed IP address list (Inbound Traffic Control), enabling connections only from trusted addresses.
- Access to an event log containing a chronological record of key events related to data and users within the Altium 365 workspace. This ensures administrators have a single place to monitor and audit critical activities for data compliance management. Event log data can be exported or sent to the appropriate SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) system for compliance and audit purposes.
- Access to the Advanced Controls page in the Company Dashboard, allowing administrators to define access policies for users to the Altium 365 Workspace and Personal Space. The available options can be configured to allow (or prevent) the creation of multiple Workspaces and to control file sharing/storage functions in the Personal Space of company members, increasing data security.
Jira Integration
Enables bidirectional synchronization of data between issues in Atlassian Jira® and tasks in Altium 365 Workspace. The integration allows:
- Remote issue creation in Jira directly from Altium 365 Workspace, as dedicated Jira tasks, or linking existing Jira issues to a project in Workspace.
- Once a relationship is established between a Jira issue and a task in Workspace, their comments and status settings (priority, progress, assignments) are synchronized in real-time, providing improved and interactive insight into Altium project management within the Jira environment.
SiliconExpert Integration
Provides direct access to advanced component data from SiliconExpert. Enhanced parametric data retrieved from SiliconExpert is available when using supply chain information in Altium Designer, including BOM, offering details such as YTEOL – Years to End of Life or Inventory Risk. This application supports more informed design and procurement decisions, helping to avoid risks associated with component obsolescence or inventory shortages.
Z2Data Integration
Provides direct access to advanced component data from Z2Data. Enhanced parametric data retrieved from Z2Data is available when using supply chain information in Altium Designer, including BOM. This application supports more informed design and procurement decisions, helping to avoid risks associated with component obsolescence or inventory shortages.
Design Review
Allows all individuals associated with a project to conduct and manage structured design reviews in Workspace. The application interface enables each Workspace member to create, access, and manage design review instances, which can then be assigned to other users as reviewers.
- The review creator can customize the review process by adding text-based checklists, file attachments, and comments.
- Reviewers can open a snapshot of the project, complete checklist items, add related comments, run design comparisons, and ultimately transform the process into an accepted/rejected state.
- The review initiator finalizes the process, adding their own completed/rejected assessment or comments.
Design reviews are a convenient tool for identifying design issues and ensuring compliance with company requirements. They are available to all Workspace users both during and after the review process and can also be viewed on the task page for the project.
