Success is best when it's shared
"Success is best when it's shared", wisely stated former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz. We've taken this quote to heart and are excited to share our achievements and highlights from 2023.
We are delighted to have three colleagues join us for this exclusive interview: Michael Zartenar, our dedicated Sales Engineer; Tobias Siegler, a driving force in the Inside Sales Team; and Jasmin Neff, the promising new addition. They will delve into their highlights of the year and share their journey, filled with triumphs and shared successes.
Join us on this journey through the moments that defined our path, guided by the belief that true success is a collaborative endeavour.
What has been your personal highlight of the year so far?
«Joining the ICT team at the beginning of the year was, of course, my personal highlight. We work well together because we've known each other for a long time. And during my first customer visits to CERN in Geneva, it was great to be exposed to cutting-edge technology. I also attended this year's CC Day in the "Umweltarena": The event was very well organised and showed how the whole company, across all business units, worked together to make the event a success.»
Have you spotted your own «Product of the Year»?
«For me, this includes clock and timing systems as well as various probe stations. Clock and timing systems are important for timing and coordination in technology, telecommunications and aerospace. Precise timekeeping, including atomic clocks, is needed in many other areas. Synchronisation is critical for financial transactions, industry and more. Time standards such as UTC serve as global reference points. Probe stations are used to characterise new electronic components such as photodiodes, for example to check that photovoltaic systems are working properly.»
What exciting projects are you working on for the coming year?
«Photonics, digitisation, fibre monitoring and services are among the key themes. The Quantum Industry Days 2023 event in Lausanne showed me how interest in this market has grown exponentially. And the monitoring of existing networks is becoming increasingly important in fibre roll-out.»
What has been your personal highlight of the year so far?
«As my career at Computer Controls is still in its infancy at 5 months old, it's hard to say. One highlight follows another. But the most important thing is that I can and am allowed to learn something new every day and get involved. And the warm welcome I've received has made me feel like I've been with the company forever from day one.»
Have you spotted your own «Product of the Year»?
«I am familiar with measuring and testing equipment and certain electronic terms, but not in this field. I'm currently fascinated by oscilloscopes and all the things they can display and filter, such as interference sources and frequency ranges. The instruments themselves still look like they did "back in the day", but the technology behind them is really fascinating.»
What exciting projects are you working on for the coming year?
«2024 will definitely be exciting for me and my colleagues in Inside Sales: we want to work more closely together and across teams to support our customers even more profitably. There's a lot to plan and organise.»
What has been your driving force personally and professionally this year?
«My area of responsibility in Inside Sales at CControls GmbH in Sauerlach mainly involves managing sales processes, purchasing and scheduling orders. My tasks are very diverse, which makes my work extremely varied and exciting. This year, I have enjoyed working in sales, negotiating and looking after customers. I have particularly enjoyed developing new customer relationships and generating and developing interesting, successful business.»
Have you discovered a «Mission of the Year» for yourself?
«It is very important to me to further strengthen and promote the Sauerlach site, to support the growth of the employees and to build a solid foundation for the GmbH. Computer Controls GmbH will also be moving into new offices at the end of the year. It is my job to make sure that everything runs smoothly and that we can operate even more successfully from our new location.»
What exciting projects are you working on for the coming year?
«Exciting challenges and exciting times lie ahead. We will be offering new training courses in Germany, a modular training concept specifically tailored to the nationwide roll-out of fiber to the home (FTTH). In this way, we are supporting the urgent expansion of fiber in Germany. The market is extremely dynamic and requires constant adaptation, but I am confident that our team will manage this extremely well.»
